We use the metaphor of a ‘three-legged stool’ to describe the ways that we work to achieve the mission of the Fallon Food Hub.
There are three major avenues through which we work to increase market opportunities for area farmers & producers, and to provide educational experiences for consumers about local food.
Our farmers market takes place during the summer season, beginning in May and running for around 20 weeks through the end of September. The market is held on Friday evenings from 4-8 pm right in front of the food hub headquarters on Center Street in downtown Fallon.
In 2017, the Fallon Food Hub assumed the administrative responsibilities for the Great Basin Basket CSA program. Thanks to this generous gift from Rick Lattin and Lattin Farms, the food hub has the opportunity to ensure that the CSA program continues to operate as an avenue for local produce sales in west central Nevada.
- The Fallon Food Hub Storefront/Headquarters Location
Our storefront location serves as the administrative headquarters for the food hub and provides a retail location for local products. The storefront is open 6 days a week in Fallon’s downtown corridor featuring local produce, dairy, eggs, meat, and more.
